Well, I’m gonna start the new year off right. I say this every year but let’s bring it back to the glory days of the blog era. Let’s start it off with one of our favorite MC’s Tristate!
Just got some terrible news that the brother Warcloud aka Holocaust passed away. I was told he died in police custody which is a tragic end to his story. He was truly a gifted and unique MC as well as individual. He is probably best known for his legendary verse on the Bobby Digital album. They even named the track after him “Holocaust”. He had a slew of other solid underground releases that I’d suggest you check out. I was lucky enough to meet him one time and get this flick on the streets of Boston.

It’s with a heavy heart Im writing that we’ve lost another Czar. Kong was an incredible MC not only was he featured greatly on the MIC album in which he had his own solo track but he dropped a couple solo albums that I thought were pretty incredible, namely Kongcrete and Shakles Off. He joins DOOM and SPIEGA in the afterlife.
RIP Kong.

The first time I heard Grief Pedigree, I was blown away. It was a moving piece of art that made me feel every emotion. Ka was a poet, for real. You could hear the pain come off the pen and then through his voice. He was truly a special MC, producer, director, and human. Nobody else was like KA and his influence runs extremely deep. He’s one of the most prolific artists of the 2000s. He will be missed but his legacy and impact will live forever.

Last Night The Cybertronic Spree and Mega Ran came to Boston and tore the city down. Giant robots and Mega Ran performing You Got the Touch has been probably my favorite thing of 2024. This show was awesome, peace to Mega Ran and Van Stylez of Big Dookie Chain Podcast.
