My New Stereo Set Up In The Car
This is how I spent my weekend hooking up my car stereo w/ rear view camera. Paid about $150 for the whole set up. Good if youre on budget. Here’s some pics of it in action, more info and as you can see youtube video demo.
I was recently given a 93 Buick Park Ave with 60,000 miles in pristine shape. I took out the stock radio and put in this XOvision xo1930 (walmart) head unit paired with a Hootoo Backup Cam (amazon). In this video I basically tested out all the functions from DVD, DVD files, USB stick, aux input and backup cam. Maybe this will help people who intend to get a set up like this going on a budget.
The camera is powered off the reverse lights I bought some 16g wire and connected the wire from the head unit to the reverse light in trunk as well so when i pot the car in reverse the cam pops up on the screen. I can play DVD’s while in drive or any gear for that matter and that can be done by connecting the wire to I believe it was the headlight lamp or the car power I forget which. I was also able to run the wires through a small crevice in the backseat and ran the wires the rest of the way under the plastic trim, camera seems to be working great and kicks right in when thrown into reverse. Pretty cool feature for less than 20 bucks and an hour of work on a Friday afternoon.

Roc Marciano x Gangrene (Alchemist + Oh No) – Jet Luggage
This is gully, that break face music. Take note rappers this is real hip-hop. “Who knew what I’d grow to be, The only G to leave 3 in your shoulder piece”
Hip Hop’s grimiest duo, The Alchemist + Oh No (Gangrene), have teamed up with Marcberg’s own Roc Marciano to release Greneberg, coming July 19th (digitally) on Decon. A pre-cursor to their upcoming album releases due out later this Fall, the project is a smorgasbord of raw rhymes and cinematic beats with each track featuring guest verses and/or production from the other two artists.
The Alchemist + Oh No (Gangrene) gained notoriety and acclaim as a group with their November 2010 release Gutter Water. Since then, the group has toured both Europe and the US performing for sold out crowds both at home and abroad. Their second album, Vodka & Iowaska, will be released later this year on Decon. Roc Marciano has been hard at work readying his Decon debut, Reloaded, the much-anticipated follow-up to 2010’s Marcberg. Over the course of several years, both acts have become mutual admirers of the other’s work. All three artists are producers as well as emcees and covet a uniquely identifiable style. Spending much of their time in Los Angeles, The Alchemist, Oh No, and more recently Roc, have fostered a fruitful collaborative relationship, and it seemed only fitting to bring the three together for this release.
The 6-track vinyl picture-disc will feature original artwork and be available in August. The EP will also be available for download through iTunes with a bonus track and video content. As if the EP and bonus content were not enough, Roc will join forces with Gangrene for the 15-stop Greneberg Tour hitting the road later this Fall. Greneberg is just an appetizer to both artist’s main course albums coming later this year.

Ghostface is Being Sued Face
Just read this over @ AHH
The man who composed the original 1966 theme to “Iron Man” has filed a lawsuit against Ghostface Killah, Razor Sharp Records and Sony Records, claiming they illegally used his “Iron Man Theme” on Ghost’s 2000 album Supreme Clientele.
Songwriter Jaques “Jack” Urbont filed the lawsuit on June 30th, in United States District Court, Southern District of New York.Urbont is the legal and beneficial owner of an undivided interest in the original copyrighted musical composition and sound recording for the theme for the “Iron Man Theme” and the music from the 1966 television show.
Urbont is a world-renowned songwriter, who has composed, orchestrated and conducted music for episodes of TV shows like “Mission Impossible,” “Mannix,” and others.
Additionally, Urbont composed the themes and lyrics for “The Guiding Light,” “One Life to Live,” “General Hospital,” and the TV representations of “Iron Man,” “Captain America,” “Hulk,” “Submariner,” and “Thor.”
He also has composer credits for TV shows like “All My Children,” “That 70s Show,” “Oprah,” “Rosie,” “20/20, and “The View.”
Urbont has also worked with artists like Sammy Davis Jr., Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, George Burns and others.
Urbont claims that he owns the exclusive rights to the “Iron Man Theme,” and that Ghostface Killah, Sony, and RZA have been using his works, resulting in substantial revenue for Ghostface.
Ghost, born Dennis Coles, debuted in 1996 with his album Iron Man.
Since then, has been using the name “Tony Starks/Iron Man” moniker, in addition to his original name of Ghostface Killah.
The lawsuit claims that in addition to illegally using the “Iron Man Theme” on the album Supreme Clientele, the usage of the name “Tony Starks” is also infringing upon Urbont’s copyrights.
“Urbont is over 80 years old and would not normally encounter the defendants rap music in the ordinary course of his dealings in the music industry or otherwise,” Urbont’s lawyers said.
“The defendants fraudulently concealed their use of the ‘Iron Man Theme’ on Supreme Clientele,” the lawsuit reads. “For instance the liner notes of Supreme Clientele do not give any indication that Urbont’s sound recording or compositions are contained on the album.”
The lawsuit claims that Ghostface’s usage of the nickname “Tony Starks” gives the rapper a substantial commercial advantage, by linking him to “Iron Man” without having to pay for it.
Urbont seeks millions in damages.
A copy of the lawsuit is below.
