20 YEARS OF HIPHOPHEADS.ORG!

On Nov 11th we hit a huge milestone! 20 Years of HipHopHeads.org. Started by the incredible Pete Allah aka Illmatic. I took over a year or two later after Pete lost interest, he built a great community and we didn’t want to see it go. We saw a few iterations peace to Uncommon Thief and Basik1 but we landed in conjuction with my website thecryptonline.com which both are synonymous with one another. There’s been ups, downs, heartbreaks, and joy. Can’t believe it’s been 20 years! So many great memories, so much great music and made so many friends. We miss those who are no longer with us RIP to Sohail, Beej, Zakius, Specter, and Phase1, you live on with us. To everyone who’s supported us over the years, thank you. Here’s to another 20!

M-Dot ft. Kore – Break Prod. by Gajos (Official Music Video)

Hitting you with all Boston things today, haha. M-Dot sent me his latest video a few days ago and I haven’t been able to sit down with anything new til today. M-Dot and EMS brother Kore get up for this crazy video shot in Germany. If anyone has hit a struggle in their life you’ll feel this one. Peace to M-Dot.

The people’s champ…M-Dot (Boston), invites fellow EMS cohort Kore, to join him for a sobering look at reality on his latest single/video for “Break,” produced by Polish beat-smith Gajos. The track/visual immediately showcases the vulnerability of M-Dot and his introspective admission of addiction. The relatable content of being lost in a substance has resonance for so many struggling. The gloomy black and white visual was shot by Phillip Ledenyi in Munich, Germany. The single can be found on “Ego and the Enemy 2: A Dissolute Paradise” out now on all platforms and on collector’s edition splash colored vinyl.
