A few months ago I was thinking… WTF happened to Akbar aka Akbar The Great aka Akbar Abdullah. I first heard him on CM Famalaam Cypher with Copywrite? Where he absolutely destroyed shit, later I heard him on Mr.Lif Live @ The Middle East where once again smashed… He came out with an LP a couple years after that called Big Bang Boogie and since that release new info and audio has been scarce. A week or two ago I got off with this email containing a couple new tracks and info on his new newest project called “Planet X” which was quietly released on 12.12.12 you can copp on iTunes Here

Now after a decade of popping in and out of the shadows with a few features and independent singles he brings forth his sophomore effort,’Planet X’ on the newly established Peasant Podium Music. In this new installment fans should expect the same raw lyricism with a futuristic yet old-school flow. It is clear that Akbar intends on feeding listeners a buffet of consciousness with hood appeal, over an intergalactic backdrop throughout the 19 track album.
