Delonte turns into Desperado

About a week ago I read that former Boston Celtic Delonte West was arrested on speeding and weapons charges.  Unfortunate, but not Crypt worthy, in my opinion.  Slowly though, more facts have been coming out.  As a precursor, I love Delonte West, he served this team well and was even nice to this dude when I ran into at a local Auto Zone.
Back to the story.  Police pulled Delonte over last Thursday night after he cut off a cruiser and was speeding on his Can-Am Spyder motorcycle.  Upon search of his person the officer found a handgun in his pocket, another in his pant leg and a shotgun in a guitar case strapped to his back ala Antonio Banderas in Desperado, or Mariachi before that.  Police say West was very cooperative throughout the process and was released the next morning on his own personal recognizance.  I don’t know why he had all those guns but Delonte is welcome back in the Bean anytime.

The NFL season kicked off last night and Troy Polamalu was at it again.  Unfortunately he was injured later in the game.  I’m pondering posting that video, it was very Theismann-esque, but he’ll be back in 3-6 weeks

Where’s Richard Seymour?

The Patriots traded Richard Seymour to the Oakland Raiders almost a week ago, and Seymour has yet to show up.  The Raiders have now sent a letter to Seymour demanding he show up within five days or else.  If he does not report to the Raiders within five days of receiving the letter the Raiders will suspend him for the entire season and he will not be paid.  This is the final year of Seymour’s contract and he probably has one more big contract left in him.  Normally when players are on the final year of their contracts they play out of their minds to show the rest of the league how valuable they truly are, but I don’t think that applies in Oakland.  Lets face it, the Raiders stink with or without Richard Seymour.  The first round pick that the Raiders traded to the Patriots, most likely, will result in a top ten pick due to the Raiders’ shittiness, so can you really blame Seymour?

I Love College Football

The college football season officially started yesterday.  I think the college game is just as good as the pros, plus, in college more wacky things happen.  In the game of the night, the Oregon Ducks just couldn’t put their offense together while Boise State rolled to the opening night victory on their blue field.  The fireworks for me were at the end of the game when things got a little dicey.

I Love College Football
