About a week ago I read that former Boston Celtic Delonte West was arrested on speeding and weapons charges. Unfortunate, but not Crypt worthy, in my opinion. Slowly though, more facts have been coming out. As a precursor, I love Delonte West, he served this team well and was even nice to this dude when I ran into at a local Auto Zone.
Back to the story. Police pulled Delonte over last Thursday night after he cut off a cruiser and was speeding on his Can-Am Spyder motorcycle. Upon search of his person the officer found a handgun in his pocket, another in his pant leg and a shotgun in a guitar case strapped to his back ala Antonio Banderas in Desperado, or Mariachi before that. Police say West was very cooperative throughout the process and was released the next morning on his own personal recognizance. I don’t know why he had all those guns but Delonte is welcome back in the Bean anytime.
