I learned last night that T-Banga of the Banga Brothers has passed away. It’s a tragic end to an otherwise celebrated and respected man. I’m sure he and I been at many of the same shows and perhaps even bumped into him once or twice here and there… so why am I writing this if I didnt know the man? Simple, we shared the same acquaintances and interests and that’s putting people onto good music and trying to push the scene (our scene) forward.
Friends/Beantown MC’s like Oak Lonetree, The Camp are dearly saddened by his passing and for his friends, fam, collaborators which their many and many I know my heart’s out to you. Every comment on T-Banga has been positive and that he loved his friends, home, city and hip-hop. Remember the music he put out and help push and let his memory last many lifetimes.
I’ve included a track done by Boston MC Professor Lyrical which was supposed to be a track for T-Bangas newest work, the track is called I Am A Fan and is a dedication to Boston Hip-Hop but now is dedicated to T-Banga
