My apologies for not being very active on the site, my grandfather has been very sick and sadly he lost the hardest fight of his life Wednesday morning… My grandfather meant a lot to me and although I had not seen him since my grandmother died nearly a decade ago, he was still one of the most important men in my life. He was the coolest like anyone’s grandfather but the difference here is he was mine and he’ll be missed greatly. Seeing his big smile with his gold tooth shining, seeing him stick out his snake tongue to get a laugh, and even making me paper sailor hats as a child are memories I’ll keep forever. He was the biggest Mexican I’ve ever seen and had the biggest heart of anyone I know, I’m now bigger than my grandfather was, hopefully I’ll have half the heart he had. Viva La Gabriel Garcia!
