Learned some bummer news today that Boston Graffiti legend RELM has passed away. Growing up in the 90’s in Boston it was hard to not see a RELM piece lurking somewhere in the shadows, or a quick throwie on the corner store wall. He bombed everywhere, specifically in the town I grew up in, Arlington. He had a beautiful piece in the alley in Arlington center, as well as his throwie just a couple miles down the road in Porter Square. Where he had to climb a fence on top of a bridge then hang off the fencing that hung over the Redline train tracks and was roughly 25 feet in the air, and somehow, he finessed it. A true artist and legend in the game. He and Monks pieces were ones I really admired during my “tagging” days. Relm will always be remembered for his incredible Art. I’m in the process of looking for and procuring his pieces to share. If you have any contributions to share please email thecryptonline[at]gmail.com.
