USC Running back Stefon Johnson needed emergency surgery yesterday after a weightlifting accident. Johnson, who scored the go ahead touchdown against my Ohio State Buckeyes a couple weeks ago, dropped the bar on his throat while lifting, crushing his neck and larynx. After seven hours of surgery, he is in serious but stable condition. Although his football season is over, it looks like he’ll be fine. That being said, USC, to me, are like the Yankees of college football. Any time they lose one of their players is just fine with me, but damn, thats a brutal way to get hurt.
