Action Bronson Live @ The Middle East 5-20-11 (Photos/Videos)

The other night I saw Action Bronson live for the 3rd time, They say third times a charm and they really arent kidding. Action klilled it, his best performance I’ve seen to date. His stage presence has gotten much better and he’s entertaining as hell. He had the crowd in the palm of his hand in which he became a part of during multiple songs, he was lighting big long joints and sharing them with the fans while security just sat back and watched. He performed a couple exclusives that he’s never performed live such as Thug Love Story 2012 and Action said that aside from Queens Boston is the best. Click here for Hi-Res Photos.

Slaine Quitting The Music Business?

Apparently the other day Slaine posted on his Facebook page that he’d be quitting the rap game within the next 18 months to pursue his acting career. While many fans might be quick to say “what the fuck, man!” Let’s look at it from a working mans perspective…. Slaine a rapper/actor….. Music is in the shitter right now if youre selling albums which many people arent you arent making too much money off it these days, you make money off touring and merchandise which is cool but it’s a lot of work, touring. You’re away from family, wife and kids etc. for most of the year if you want to keep the dough rolling in. Now if youre an actor, either acting in feature films, tv shows, you get paid a decent amount for a few days work in a small roll. You get paid big bucks if youre in a serious roll which requires you to be away for a few months unless youre shooting in your home town and seeing that Slaine is attached to the Aflecks he could probably drive himself to work everyday and have a home cooked meal every night. So you do the math. I wanna say peace to Slaine and I wanna wish him much luck in whatever he does and here at TheCrypt we’ll keep following. Slaine if you need a cameo by a big Mexican and you cant get in touch with Trejo give me a call.

Here’s the official word,

“These tours and albums Im doing over the next 18 months will probably be my last. Im more and more into making movies and sick of touring”

Danny Brown Live @ The Good Life Boston 5-4-12 (pics/videos)

Bacardi Plus brought Danny Brown to Boston last night and he pretty much tore the place down. Crowd went nuts for him but their were a couple problems… No stage just a roped/chaired off area that people kept pushing and knocking shit over so they basically had 3-4 security guard huddled around Danny during his performance. One other issue was the sound, it might have been the worst sound ive ever heard at a show, they clearly didnt do a mic check before hand which was unfortunate. Bacardi Plus is a foul drink but they throw a great party! And it was awesome how they handed out free drinks and got Danny Brown in Boston who literally tore the place down.Click HERE to see images individually and above you have the video which sadly is a bit dark @ times cuz they literally had no lights on but thankfully every hipster in their grandmas sweater had their iPhone lights flashing.

Singapore Kane – Under The Bridge

It’s funny I put up a new Big Shug the other day and got me thinkin’ where’s Singapore Kane been at? And sure enough Sing hits me up today with this 420 release. The joint uses the classic Red Hot Chili Peppers Under The Bridge sample, and Sing tells us why he loves his trees among the problems he goes through a daily basis thus fueling his tree smoking habit. Catchy ass track, peace to Singapore Kane.

La Coka Nostra ft Vinnie Paz – My Universe

The latest release from the LCN team (minus Everlast), this one features JMT’s Vinnie Paz and is produced by Statik Selektah. Ill Bill said they’d be going for a darker and grimier vibe than the last album and I gotta say Statik cooked up a rugged ass beat. Ill Bill and Slaine destroyed this joint while Paz supplied the hook.
