Bonus Episode: Pumpkinhead vs Yak Ballz
This lost audio is from the legendary Braggin’ Rights battle which I believe took place in 2000 (correct me if im wrong and ill fix this) which the finals were Yak Ballz vs Pumpkinhead aka PH (RIP). I’ve never heard the audio for this where you find out who the winner is, but when I spoke to PH he told me he took the W that night. There was video of this floating around online back then but it seems to be lost to time now. I was inspired to bring out this old tape as a new book has been released by Brian Kayser called “Rock, Rock, Rock, On:The Robert “PH” Diaz Story. Its out now which can cop from the link below. Vega gives his thoughts on the road after he hear the news. Hopefully you can expect more episode like this in the future hopefully they wont be as somber as this one.

February 15 2015 was a huge blizzard here in the Northeast. I got into my Subaru and drive 75 miles to see Mega Ran perform live @ small video game shop on rt 9 in Massachusetts. Mega Ran came through w/ Storyville to wreckshop for the owners, one other performer and myself. Nobody came out cuz the weather was so bad, Mega Ran was a pro and rocked it like there was a crowd of 500 not 5. I recorded the event and thats what you’ll hear here.

This weekend we’re recording an episode about the career of the incredible Thirstin Howl the 3rd. As an appetizer for that I dug in my vaults and blew the dirt off an interview I did with the Lo-Life General. Originally conducted 15 years ago on March 15, 2007,I interviewed Thirstin Howl the 3rd on behalf of Shogun Distribution. This was a small label out of Australia that most notably put out NECRO’s DEATH RAP and MF Grimm’s Hunt For The Gingerbread Man, the label appeared to fizzle out in 2009. Thirstin and I talk about a range of different topics for roughly 20 MINUTES. Admittedly, I was quite nervous doing this interview because I had been a fan since the Lyricist Lounge Show. Thirstin is still very active and still working on a range of different projects, hes truly prolific, support him if you can. So go give it listen and and share it with the homies. Put your L’s up.

King Author has been on a tear since 2020’s Insurgent Theory, which saw the Framingham MC return to the game with a vengeance equal to what’s shown on it’s cover, a recently exploded vehicle engulfed in flames. Since then he’s dropped 5 more projects: 3 EPs (including the Chairman Chow produced Burnt Ships) and 2 full length albums, Transitional Assistance and Killer’s Manual, with the equally prolific Zagnif Nori. His latest project, entitled Now Streaming… is being fully distributed on all DSPs, unlike most of his work which is only available via his BandCamp or on tape via Icy Palms Records. The EP’s lyrical content is equal parts militancy and philosophy with Author putting on a MCing clinic over high quality production from Dark Arts, Willy Low, Quisstar, Chuck Chan and Haleem. The Supervisor caught up with Author over the weekend for an interview available exclusively on thecryptonline.com’s HHH Podcast to discuss his recent high level of output, the underlying philosophy behind his music, some of his influences and what to expect from him in the coming year.
