Clouds engulfed the buildings in Boston they were literally touching the ground, you had to walk through them. Edo G was the host along with WRKO 680 AM DJ Reese Hopkins but shortly after the show began the rain started and we took cover close by in Fanuel Hall. We emerged when the rain stopped, and ran back to Govt.CTR. The place immediately jumped off with Big Shug and Singapore Kane. Shug performed a couple Gangstarr classics and a couple of his own and as always Shug did a outstanding job bringing us on a trip through Murderpan and singing Gospel to the crowd.

Termonology reppin Lawrence Mass the 978(although he's from Haverhill?) was up next and this kids got a crazy buzz right now, not just in Beantown but worldwide! He's working with of the most legendary producers in the game and being praised by vets as one of the best doing shit right now. I used to catch Term at shows when he was nobody didnt have an album didnt have a mixtape just doing what he does, and my this kid has grown and he showed his humbleness by saying how hes been a spectator the past 3 years at the Peace Fest and it was an honor to grace the stage and be invited this year and to be noticed. Term did a few joints and did it impressivly and having a lot of fun at the same time. It was a nice treat.

Next was the B-Boy battle which was crazy the pics dont do it justice but the video i took will . After the B-Boys was Bostons Akrobatik. Akrobatik is always good he never stumbles and is always positive figure. He did this sick joint about the Celtics winning the championship I cant remember all that he said but the last line went something like "Yo listen up this is important, im sorry Kobe but youll never be Jordan" needless to say the place went wild for that one.

After Akro came out three youngsters who won a song contest with Essence Magazine and Berkley School of Music. Backed by live instruments cielo, violin and a aaxaphone all three MC's got to perform their songs. The trio consisted of 2 boys and a girl ranging from 17-18 one from Mass,Philly and RI. They did there thing but the stand out to me was the 18 female from Cranston RI, The girl had soul but looked real timid during her friends songs, but she opened right up when it was her time to shine, she sounded like Left Eye(RIP) of TLC which sounded refreshing not corny and i doubt she was biter cuz she was like 3 when they were relevent. She had a great performance she needs work but the potential is there.

Ahhh... the headliners.... Chubb Rock, Das EFX and EPMD. Chubb came out looking chubby as ever and took the crowd on an old school trip where Chubb would get the crowd going with classic songs from our past 80's and early 90's. It was like watching a mixtape go down live before your eyes it was a fun set but Chubb only performed 2 of his songs, but had the crowd eating out of his hand the whole time. Next was DIGGITY DAS EFX. Man these guys havent missed a step Crazzy Dre is still crazy did was running around like a maniac one of the most animated MC's ive seen take the stage (i saw Das EFX in 2'G at BOO 6 in NYC). They came out the sewer and delivered a great a set it was diggity dope.

EPMD, Eric "the green eyed bandit" Sermon and Paris "PMD" Smith WOW it was a treat to have these HUGE legends in Boston and for free it was amazing. They have so many classics from 3 different era's and they are still doing business. They have a shoe coming out on the DC line, they have a new CD dropping in October they have a new Label they started called EP records shit and im sure they have more stuff coming. These 2 are the best. I dont know how the crowd felt but I was ecstatic and I thought it was pretty special seeing them up there. I mean these guys have done so much work from emceeing to producing few groups can mess with there track record. They did the classics from EPMD and Eric served us with some of his better solo material. EPMD brought business to Boston and showed us just why they were the best in the game for so many years.

EMC (Strick, Wordsworth, Punchline and Masta Ace) came to Boston last night and put on opne of the best shows ive ever seen. These guys controlled the stage like ive never seen. It's an incredible sight to see them all working so well together. And they live up to the album title "The Show" cuz that's exactly what they do, put on a show. They all performed indivdually and in group form from punch and words to Ace and Strick doing Disposable Arts Joints. At one point they had a 5 minute intermission where they all cameback out rocking dookie chains and Adidas suits looking like they stepped out of 88. The show was amazing! The Almighty D-Block came to Providence and left no prisoners. These guys were on point and one of the longest hiphop sets ive seen performing for almost 2 hours! They basically touched on their whole catalogue from Lox shit to solo shit mixtape verses to old guest spots. I was pleasantly surprised with the show they put on normally groups of their stature seem to wanna leave early show up late sound like shit do a lot of bullshit between songs nah the Lox werent havin that. They locked shit down tonight.

First id like to say thanks to UGHH.com and Leedz Edutainment for hooking me up with tickets to the show. Pharoahe came through Boston last night and did an amazing show with DJ Boogie Blind of The X-Ecutioners. Pharaohe basically went through his whole catalogue performing each track flawlessly and with an amazing amount of energy. He also had a couple singers on stage with him doing the hooks which was a great touch. Pharoahe showed why hes regarded as one of the worlds top emcees please check him out if hes coming to your city. I took some pretty god photos and video please enjoy.
